We want everyone to understand how big this development will be. The image here is the current Maple Rd. property with an overlay of the Lowe's Plaza at Maple and Transit Rd. If you think that plaza is big, wait until you see this! The Benderson Company proposes a much larger development.
 

Did you know that their are other neighborhood groups just like ours that have been "through this" before. Do you know that many of these groups have an active member base that is willing to help support our cause, and support the elected officials that want to accurately represent our concerns.

• An independent traffic study has not been conducted. The only traffic study completed was initiated and funded by the petitioner, the Benderson company? Excerpts from that study state (link to the original study provided):

         "FRANKHAUSER ROAD IS A NARROW ROAD MAKING
         TWO  WAY TRAFFIC DIFFICULT. ALL THESE
         STREETS ARE RESIDENTIAL STREETS WITH
         NUMEROUS DRIVEWAYS, ON STREET PARKING, AND
          LACK OF ADEQUATE STREET LIGHTING"
  
        "CUT THROUGH TRAFFIC IS DISCUSSED...HOWEVER
         THERE IS NO QUANTITATIVE (ANALYTICAL)
         ASSESSMENT OF CURRENT CUT THROUGH TRAFFIC
         TO ACCESS THE FUTURE IMPACT."
   

• Do you know what a major majority is?
          A major majority is needed when a vote is
          presented to the town board that has
          significant opposition from concerned
          parties involved. If a certain number of
          concerned parties, in this case residents of
          Maple Road, object to a proposal (rezoning
          the gun club) then the board must have a
          major majority vote. This means that 3/4 of the
          members of the board must be in favor or must
          opposed to a vote. We have council members
